For over 50 years, Colombians have suffered an armed conflict where thousands of victims, including children and adolescents, have suffered.
In 1991, the Colombian government created the Fundación Nacional Batuta, an entity that, through comprehensive musical training helps to improve the quality of life for children and young victims affected by armed conflict or those in situations of extreme vulnerability.
Throughout its 24-year history, Batuta has trained more than 350,000 children, whose lives have been transformed through the power of music, including the lives of their families and their communities. These are three of their stories.
